Meet Groot layout!

Hey there, good to see you again! I loved the heat last week, but I was also glad when it cooled down so I could sleep!

Anyway, my layout today features my new car. We've named our cars ever since James was small, and this one was no different.

I'm not sure if the name was influenced by the colour of the car, or the fact that we'd just recently seen Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2.

This is a baby groot in the car, and Emily said as the car gets older, we need a bigger Groot!

The car being called Groot meant that I wanted a space theme on my layout. I had Galaxy papers and stickers from my Mrs Brimbles Box that I used. I love this layout and my car.  Do you name your car?

Lovely Together Layout

Hey there, thanks for stopping by! Hope you're all ok! The layout I'm showcasing today is the first pictures I have of James and his girlfriend, Elise, and I've also used a sketch that Sarah Toulston from Lottie Loves Paper set.  Take a look.

This is the sketch

This is my interpretation of the sketch.

The photos were taken on Elise's 28th Birthday, and they were perfect for this sketch. The pictures also matched my Lottie Loves Paper Scrapbook Kit!

Here is a close up of all the elements I used. I love using sketches. They take you out of your comfort zone and also helps if you ever lose your crafting mojo!

May Card Swap Challenge - Buttons and Bows

Hey there good to see you again! Today I'm showing the 2 cards I made for Mays Card Swap Challenge. The theme was Buttons and Bows.

Here is Card 1.

I used my Silhouette to but all the elements. I cut the card, then the yellow band of buttons, then loose buttons in different colours. I also cut the bows from Card stock.

Here is Card 2.

This time I decided to literally make a button Card. I used my Silhouette again to cut out the button Card, and I'd already cut the buttons.

To add abit of dimension, I used Tonic Studio Nuvo Glitter Drops.  Both my recipients loved their cards!

Me and my girl layout

Hey there, good to see you again!  Today I'm showcasing a layout of Emily and I at Emily's school Mother's Day lunch. I wanted to scrap this as I very rarely get to go to school events.

I wanted my layout to be quite girly, and the Simple Dtories Life in Colour collection was perfect.

As you can see, I kept the layout quite simple because of the flowery paper.  I also used my We R Memory Keepers Frame Punch board, which I love!

NSD - Maria's Tic Tac Toe Board

Hey there, thanks for stopping by! For National Scrapbooking Day For the Love of Pretty Paper did various challenges.

The layout I'm showing you today was put together choosing 3 elements from Maria's Tic Tac Toe board. I chose Ink splatters, fussy cutting and die cuts.

I have cheated a little, as I've used Cocoa Vanilla Studio You Rock collection, so the corner paint splatters are the design on the paper. I fussy cut the stars and I used Die cut Ephemera.

Here is a close up of my fussy cutting and die cuts.

NSD Layout - Love this girl to bits

Hey there, good to see you again!  Can you believe that today is 1st June?!  Where has the year gone!

Today I'm showcasing another layout that I completed for National Scrapbooking Day. This was a scraplift be the talented Maria, and I loved it! Here is my scraplift.

The scraplift was the frame and the positioning of the embellishments.  I was really pleased with how this came out, as I don't do much scraplifting.

Here's a close up of the embellishments and wording. Will I be scraplifting again? Yes definitely!
